The new Ram
2500 gets various powertrain options, which all feel responsive and powerful.
Robstown drivers can choose the available 6.7-liter Cummins® turbo diesel I6
engine, which gets distinct responsiveness and excellent torque figures. This powertrain
produces up to 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. It also gets low
noise activation for a smooth drive. You can tow up to 19,680 pounds around
Alice.
Numbers
don't lie, which explains why the Ram 2500 adds on a potent powertrain to
complement your travels. A 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 powertrain comes standard on the
new Ram 2500 trims and uses a Variable-Cam Timing transmission. Interestingly,
this engine has the best horsepower in its class, having the figures stand at
410 horsepower. The HEMI® V8 mates to an exclusive 8HP75 transmission, which
feels constantly refined regardless of the terrain you encounter. With a
complete electronic transmission, this system gets 429 pound-feet torque and a
payload of 4,010 pounds. Towing also brings it to a higher notch, thanks to its
17,540 pounds capacity.
Additionally,
the Ram 2500 has other tech features that enable its performance, including a
360-degree camera view with trailer functionalities, trailer monitoring on the
gauge cluster, a rear auto-level suspension, and rear and front locking differentials.
